Truth about Youth features on Sky News

In the week that marked the anniversary of the summer riots, Envision Birmingham was the charity of choice for media coverage in Birmingham.

The Birmingham team was up at 6am to welcome a Sky News crew to the Custard Factory. In a series of live broadcasts for Sky breakfast show Sunrise, Envision students talked about the challenge of dealing with the negative perceptions people have about young people and about the social action projects they've been carrying out in their community as part of the Truth about Youth campaign.

Envision Grad, Kashif, talking to Heart FM on the anniversary of the summer riotsThe Truth about Youth campaign is run by Envision in partnership with The Co-operative Foundation and aims to challenge negative stereotypes of young people. Over the last 3 years the campaign has supported over 2000 young people to carry out 200 social action projects in their community.

After an exciting morning with the Sky News team, it was off to the city centre for a series of radio interviews which you can watch or listen to at BBC WM, BBC 5Live, Heart FM and Capital Radio.
