Vacancy - Envision Coach (Bristol - paid)

We offer young people the opportunity to develop themselves whilst helping others.  So too for those on our formal traineeship programme.

This structured programme, which runs from the 19th October 2020 to June 2021, offers candidates the opportunity to:

  • make a difference for young people and help them to tackle wider problems in society and
  • develop a range of skills in facilitation, programme management and stakeholder relations.

The only difference is that, unlike our young people, you get paid!

Envision offers high-quality enrichment programmes in Bristol and South Gloucestershire schools.  We support young people from under-represented backgrounds to develop their confidence and employability skills, by empowering them to tackle social problems that they care about, and providing them access to mentoring by our corporate partners.  Our Envision Coaches are our front-line delivery team: each of them responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of our programme in around 5 schools across the region.

With real responsibility comes real reward.  You will get to see young people grow in confidence and know that this is down to the opportunities you have created for them.

Each term you will support five small groups of 13 young people, facilitating group activities to support them to

  • identify a charity they want to champion
  • organise a range of projects to raise awareness and funds in both their school and partnered business.

Through our training programme (including a residential) and ongoing coaching, we will support you to develop your skills working with young people, including virtual delivery.  You’ll also develop your organisation and problem-solving skills whilst co-ordinating activity between your schools, businesses and charities, as well as by organising fun and inspiring cross-school events.  Many of our Envision Coaches progress within the organisation beyond their fixed term contract.
