Vacancy: Communications and Events Officer

  • £25,000 per annum (+ £2,000 London weighting dependent on location)

The Communications and Events Officer will help Envision design and deliver our communications strategy, as well as our events, in order to support our ambition to grow with impact and sustainability.

A driven, dynamic and reflective team member, you will be excited to help Envision develop its voice and presence externally at this exciting time for our organisation. 

Your main responsibilities will include updating and maintaining our website, managing social media channels and developing content for newsletters, videos and other materials. You will also assist with the communications and delivery of our fundraising events.

You’ll bring your creative flair, enthusiasm and communication skills to all Envision’s communications activities, and ensure we produce high quality materials that convey our messaging clearly, consistently and well.


Person Specification


  • Prior experience of working in a communications capacity

  • Good working knowledge in all aspects of digital communications, including social media, websites, film, photography

  • Adept at designing and developing marketing and events collateral

  • Experienced in use of Abode, InDesign & Canva

  • Sound knowledge of: MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Commitment to Envision’s vision, mission and values and ability to work well in, and contribute to, our organisational culture.

  • Creative flair – ability to generate engaging content and work well with others to generate new ideas 

  • Strong written communication skill- proven ability to write engaging content and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills – asks open questions, confident and approachable
  • Self managing – able to plan own work and juggle conflicting priorities when working towards deadlines 


  • Experience in use of HTML coding, as well as photo and video editing 

  • Experience of using customer relationships management systems to track comms engagement 

  • Understanding of, and/ or lived experience of, the barriers that young people face, that contribute to the education and employment gap
