We’re looking for people who;

Have a keen interest in working with young people.
Are passionate about social and environmental issues both locally and globally.

Can give a commitment to work with their school team for the course of an academic year.

What do Envision Team Mentors do?

Envision Team Mentors work directly with a team of young people in a school and colleges to support them to make a difference on an issue they care about. They use their enthusiasm for working with young people to facilitate weekly meetings with an assigned team at a school or college local to them. They motivate and inspire their teams to discuss and debate issues and to turn their ideas into action.

The basic time commitment is around two hours per week between September and April each academic year – to attend the weekly meeting, travel to and from your school, prepare for each meeting, attend training events and liaise with Envision staff on the progress of your team.

Previous projects have focused on issues such as homelessness, climate change, healthy living, fairtrade, recycling, sexual health, bullying, crime and multiculturalism. To find out more about the projects carried out by Envision teams over the past few years have a look at our Projects Page.

“It was very rewarding to see what they could achieve in such a short space of time and to be part of the whole process.  I developed my knowledge of environmental issues, social issues and more pressingly, the issues faced by young people in 21st century."
Daniel Smith, Envision volunteer
