- 'Improving Young People's Lives', Sustainable Development Commission (pdf, 3.8mb)
This report proposes a green thread through policy and practice, where the impact of the environment is considered alongside social and economic factors – the building blocks of sustainable development. The report features an overview of the Young Activist project that Envision developed in partnership with NCB, Groundworks and We are what we do. (The Young Activist Toolkit can be downloaded above)
- 'Children and young people's involvement in formal meetings: An extended practical guide', Participation Works (pdf, 4.4mb)
This guide offers advice to adults who organise or chair formal decison-mkaing meetings. The aim is to ensure that children and young people are effectively involved in these meetings, that their contribution is valued and that they genuinely inform the plans and actions which emerge. The guide features contributions, comments and feedback from the Envision Grad Advisory Panel on their participation and involvement in organisational decison making.

Case study on Envision's Pitch 4 Change programme written by the Sustainable Development Commission for Action For Children. Part of a project investigating good practice in using sustainable development approaches to enhance positive outcomes for young people.
- 'Start with People', Demos (pdf, 426kb)
In this study by Demos the aim was to examine the effects of participation and whether involvement in community organisations helps people connect with wider society. Using Envision as one of their case studies, the Demos researchers looked at the processes that made it possible for us to engage young people and adult volunteers so effectively.
- 'Different World - How young people can work together', Lemos and Crane (pdf, 688kb)
This report looks at how young people can work together on human rights, citizenship, equality and creating a better society. Envision was used as a central case study to help explore the questions, ‘how can young people work together to make the world a better place?’ and ‘what help and support might they need in that endeavour?’

This report was prepared by Youth of Today, a consortium of leading youth organisations working together to increase the quality, quantity and diversity of opportunities for young people as leaders of change in their communities. 'Taking the Lead' explores youth leadership in theory and in practice, investigating competing conceptions of and approaches to youth leadership, drawing out lessons from case studies of organisations both in the UK and internationally.
