Students brush up their CVs with Hewitt

Despite it being the summer holidays, Birmingham Envision students eagerly attended a CV and interview skills workshop organised by Envision’s partner, Hewitt, a HR consultancy firm.

The interactive workshop, which included comparing good and bad CV’s, interview role play and top tips for personal statements, was attended by 14 students and delivered by Hewitt interns.

The workshop helped students identify skills and qualities developed through taking part in the Envision Schools Programme, such as leadership, public speaking, professionalism and organisational skills. One student said the workshop was "a chance to realise all the skills I had gained in the past that I didn't think would be relevant!”

The event was a great success, and students left with practical and relevant advice to help them with their personal statement and University applications as well as when applying for jobs.
