Creating 2800 Agents for Action

Tue 3 Aug 2010

In 2009-2010 Envision delivered our off-timetable workshops in schools across the UK - and what a year it has been!

We have travelled the length and breadth of the country to empower and educate young people about sustainable living, becoming community leaders, involvement with politics and using their skills to improve their communities through the 'Agents 4 Action' programme.

Our efforts were recognised by The Cooperative Group, who commissioned us to run workshops in seven of their partner schools examining young people's interest in politics and the idea of lowering the voting age to 16.

This year we have debated and discussed diverse issues with 2,800 young people. They have gone on to make films, design campaigns and influence their families and schools. This is what some of them had to say about it:

"I finally realise what's happening in the world…and I realise that I could help."

"I am going to stop wasting so much, make a better way to live and do lots of things to help the community."
