Envision @10
This year is Envision's tenth birthday, and to kick off the celebrations we are holding a special anniversary event at The Emirates Stadium on Friday 16th July.
Envision@10 will commemorate a decade of young people taking positive action in their communities and will showcase some of the many fantastic community projects that students have delivered over the last academic year. This year Envision teams have led campaigns on body image, bullying and knife crime, raised money for Centre Point, NSPCC and Water Aid and hosted events on community cohesion, stereotyping and Fairtrade.
Over the last 10 years Envision has worked with well over 10,000 students through the Post-16 Schools programme, Agents for Action (13-16 year olds) and Pitch 4 Change. This year alone Envision has supported over 3000 young people from around 100 schools in Birmingham, Leeds and London to deliver up to 200 community projects, all of which have brought about positive change to their schools or communities.
At the heart of the event will be an Awards Ceremony that will mark the achievement of all the young people who have volunteered their time to tackle social and environmental issues that are important to them.
Friends, colleagues and supporters from schools, businesses and the political arena will be attending the event as well as those who have volunteered, mentored and funded Envision over the years. And of course the event would not be complete without the young people who have worked with Envision over the years – many of which have gone on to further education, become champions in their community or start their own social businesses.
