Bruntcliffe rough it for the night

Well done to the Envision team from Bruntcliffe School in Morley, Leeds, who had a hard and cold night in their school car park last night to raise money and awareness for St George's Crypt, a local homeless shelter.
The team collected cardboard from local businesses and sponsorship from friends, teachers and families, before spending 12 cold hours in the school car park. They aimed to find out for themselves something about what it was like to have to sleep rough and spread the message that homeless people are not necessarily to blame for their fate.
One of the 15 students involved said, "We feel that the suffering of homeless people, some of whom are only children like ourselves should not be overlooked but should be offered help and support, however much we can give."
The sleepout was a huge success, raising over £1200 and securing the team an interview with BBC Radio Leeds this morning! You can see pictures of the event and hear the whole interview (10 minutes) below:
Well done to the whole team for a great project which has raised a huge amount of awareness and loads of funds to help St George's Crypt.
