Latymer Upper update
Here are Latymer; we have been involved in a few projects since the beginning of the year (writes team member Moli...)
The first cause we voted to contribute to was ‘Make a Wish’ foundation. This is a charity focused on granting the wishes of children within the UK, who have life threatening illnesses. For this project we came up with a number of activities: a raffle, candy cane distribution and a cake sale.
To succeed in all these, we chose to split up into several committees, thus limiting the amount of organisation one group would have to do. Whilst this was taking place, the Haiti earthquake occurred, so Envision organised a mass cake sale, attempting to relieve some suffering. Currently, we are working with ‘Break through Breast Cancer’ and have so far held a lower school disco. We are now in the stages of planning a sponsored moonwalk and looking for further charities to support.
