Diana Award Winners

Envision Grads from Seven Kings School joined Dawn Butler MP, Aml Ameen (star of Kidulthood) and the World's Strongest Man when they were picked up their Diana Award of Excellence last night.

The team were nominated for their multi-stranded project:

• Through a school-wide design competition and interactive hour-long workshops they peer educated 9, 10 and 11 year olds on Fairtrade, poverty and energy saving.
• They also targeted these years with focus groups to find out what to do about youth violence and created a “Knife or Life?” campaign for Through Unity’s national poster competition.
• They ran a Fairtrade coffee morning at Age Concern to hand out free energy saving lightbulbs to help the elderly save money and electricity.

The judges agreed that the team had made a 'selfless, sustained contribution to their community' and that their project really had the 'wow factor'!
