Pitch 4 Change London

Wed 9 Dec 2009

Ten of Envision’s London teams faced a panel of ‘Dragons’ at a prestigious Canary Wharf location on Wednesday 9th December to make their pitches for up to £500 to make their social and environmental projects a reality.

Each team of students had just 5 minutes to make their pitch, and another 5 to answer questions from the Dragons and audience of students and invited guests.

The judges grilled each team to make sure that they had researched and planned it well - that they were practical, had a benefit to the community and had a budget that stood up to scrutiny. Teams made  professional, compelling and creative pitches, and had clearly done their research before they faced the Dragons.

Our panel of Dragons were fantastic - providing constructive criticism, encouragement and the benefit of their experience to the students. Thank you to all our Dragons:

  • Mike AndersonDirector General Strategy & Evidence for DEFRA
  • Alistair Smith – Director of Corporate Risk, EDF Energy
  • Liz SklaroffCSR Manager of Burberry
  • Amrit Kaur Lohia and Sophia Lewis – Envision ‘grads’ who were awarded funds for their school garden project at last year’s event.

The event took place at the beautiful Clifford Chance Auditorium in Canary Wharf. You can read more about each team's project and the Dragons' verdicts here.
