Envision Co-ordinator - Birmingham

Kate’s passionate about enabling young people to make positive changes to their communities. She started out volunteering for a youth project near her home in Derbyshire, and that then inspired her to go global!

Her social action has taken her to Costa Rica and Nicaragua, where she completed community and environmental projects with the youth development charity, Raleigh International. She later conducted research on HIV in Kenya, where she also ran workshops to help develop and support people affected by the virus.

Kate is also an enthusiastic campaigner, and worked closely with Amnesty International while at university in Belfast. Focusing on capital punishment, women’s rights and human trafficking, she became a trained Amnesty school speaker, taking her knowledge and experience of human rights into schools.  Her passion for inspiring young people to act is exactly why we’re excited to have her on board!

Working alongside young people and getting to support them on their journey through Envision is a real privilege. You finish the day feeling like you are making a difference both with the young people and the communities in Birmingham.”
